Cryoprobe Cryosurgery

We are now offering Cryosurgery using the Cryoprobe for the removal of warts, skin tags, skin nodules, and other minor skin lesions.  Most patients can be treated during a routine appointment, and most do not require sedation.  There is a cold sensation to start which is gone quickly, then it is usually pain free.  Pets that are more nervous, or with lesions in difficult areas, may need to be sedated and/or have a local anesthetic block prior to cryosurgery.  The cost is much less for cryosurgery than for surgical excision.  Most lesions can be treated in 1 to 2 sessions.  Expect the lesion to become somewhat inflammed for several days, then eventually dry up and drop off.  This usually takes 1 to 2 weeks, and leaves a minimum of scar tissue.
